Teachers’ Day was celebrated on the 5th of September, 2019 commemorating the birth anniversary of one of the legendary teachers of India. The morning was made extra beautiful for the teachers as they were welcomed with roses and handmade personalised greeting cards. The morning assembly was conducted by the ‘Teacher-students’ headed by our principal Mr. Satish Kumar.

The student council of the school had arranged a few games for the teachers. While the teachers were battling it out at the arena enjoying games like Tug-of-war, musical chair, Chinese whisper, quiz and dumb charade, the ‘student- teachers‘ of the class 12 took care of the classes.

The big day culminated with the ‘Award Ceremony’ organised by the Vanavani Management Committee. The function was presided over by the Chairman, Prof.Arun .K.Tangirala and the Chief guest of the day was Dr.SampathSamraj(Retd. Professor of Commerce, Pachaiyappa’s college).The Chief Guest in his address, highlighted the changing role of the teacher and the importance of updating oneself when one is committed to this noble profession.

The Principal, Chairman and the secretary greeted the teachers applauding their services.The Chairman presented the awards to the teachers and the non- teaching staff based on the feedback of students and observation classes.

On the same we bid farewell to Mr. Xavier Sagayanathan our former Vice Principal who put in around 28 years of service in VanaVani. Some of the senior teachers of the school enlightened the gathering with the services rendered by Mr. Xavier. The Management & the staff of Vanavani wished him a peaceful retired life. The program concluded with a High Tea.
